More than occasionally, a new client will tell me that they can relate to just about every statement on my home page. Statements like “I constantly think about food,” “I want to improve my health without dieting or giving up my favorite foods”, “I find myself eating when I’m not hungry and I don’t know why,” and “I’m either ‘on’ or ‘off’ a diet and want to give up the diet and weight rollercoaster.”
Oftentimes people who struggle with food experience shame and feel alone in their struggles – even if they’re already working with a dietitian and/or therapist. That’s why I think the right kind of group support can be so powerful. My upcoming Intuitive Eating Group at Mindful Nutrition gives you both peer and expert support.
